The signs it is semi-legit (for new folks)

I figured that though most of you will know, it is useful for new folks to post some signals to pick up on that there may be more on offer than just the massage bit.

1. The place is open 7 days a week till 9pm or later. Most formal legit massage RMTs have a life after work, so these would normally close early evening and often on Sundays.
2. The website is not very specific, doesn't provide any medical info and has just some stock photos that were copied from the internet.
3. The name of the place has the word "Wellness" in it. Don't know why but a lot of Asian semi legit massage places go for that.
4. The price of the massage is around $50 - $70 per hour. An actual RMT massage is (sadly) a lot more expensive usually.
5. The attendants are dressed casually.
6. The only question you get asked if you want a massage and how long.
7. Nobody asks any questions about medical history.
8. Nobody asks any questions about any specific problems you want to have taken care of
9. There's no receptionist, the attendants take care of that.
10. The towel to cover up with is the size of a postage stamp or non-existing at all
11. There's a super size box of tissues in the room
12. The massage is either feather light and mindboggling boring repetitive, or so strong it makes you want to yell "stop, I confess"
13. The masseuse pays attention to your bum more than anything else
14. The masseuse pays a lot of compliments about your body, even if you are the size of a whale.

Not saying all of the above is always the case every time but it does usually provide a clue.

Gr8 idea & gd effort … A few comments:

#1 = gd point… if HRs ≠ 9-10, Sn -Sat, it’s NOT semi legit … but some legit places open long hrs… Kelly’s spa on Bayview springs 2 mind

#9 Bellagio has receptionist, as does Ellagance… my RMTs do not… so not really a rule

#10 … wow, where u been going? I get a decent towel even @ dives… so yeah, that’s not really reliable… well ok, if I ever get that experience, 4shur it’s fun type spa…

#12 … can’t agree there…. All gals @ SL provide decent msg… Lucy @ Bellagio rivaling my RMT, & does way better back walk… oh yeah, my RMT does backwalk, I don’t think they teach that, but Asian RMTs seem 2 do it… Nancy @ Ellagance = really gd 2…

#13 So… hmmm … I’m a cyclist , so mebbe my tush gets more attn than it should?!?! But RMTs pay attn 2 my ass more than I really request or need… Kelly’s spa, which is legit but most ≠ RMTs, the gal dives 4 my butt, even when I’m wearing shorts, goes under shorts w/o asking, & spends lotsa time there… but no xxxtras, she’s not hinting …

20. Red or purple lights, & dimly lit. Legit places always very bright

21. Ask about insurance … #1 way 2 tell … Legit places will tell u immediately which ins cos cover them, semilegits won’t although they may offer 2 give u receipt… holistically will start laffing… check Lumino Health website… anybody there = definitely legit, although many legit places not listed…

I should go back there just to see what the girls are charging now. When I was there close to 10 years now, the girl wanted 300 for FS. It scared me away, enough so I stayed away from there for a long time.
