With the way things are going. I am starting to think the lockdown will be extended and Christmas in Fords words...... cancelled.

I just heard a doctor in peel say the hospitals are getting full. I agree January is probably going break records.

I over hear people talking about going to concerts and events next year because of all the vaccine talk. It’s not happening. Next year is another write off.

COVID isn't going to disappear. For that to happen the entire world of 7.8 billion people would need to be vaccinated. The vaccine will create groups of "haves" and have nots." If you've been vaccinated you're going to have better opportunities in life. Employers will more likely hire you over someone not vaccinated that could spread COVID in the workforce. You'll be allowed to travel and go to large events. Restaurants might make dine in for vaccinated people only. SPs and MPAs might only see you and not the anti-vax idiots.

If critical care beds are getting full then they have to shut down. Just keep an eye out for those numbers, that’s the key indicator of closures

they are doing something similar already with the gyms. If you don't live in one of the hot spots, you are not allowed to use the gyms else regardless if you have a gym membership.

I was mocked in an earlier thread when I placed the over under for the next lockdown as October 30. I am uniquely positioned owing to my employment to weigh in here. Frankly, I dont think April 1 2021 is out of the question. Ford is under intense pressure from the Ontario Restaurant Hotel and Motel Association as well as from Ontario Medical Officers of Health. Being pulled in two directions and will end badly with either high deaths or high unemployment

Hope this vaccine works. I’m skeptical. But it’s the only hope. I already accepted everything is different and will never be the same. The pre covid days are done.

SURE. Go and attend every events. The more irresponsible people the better to spread the virus. COMPLETE LOCKDOWN for a month them we will be in a much nicer situation with physical distancing, spas opening, BBBJs, YMMV
