What suppliers do you use?

I assume there are already many other threads like this, but nothing has come up under the search function.

I've used 3 in the past, tisserand being the first, I cant remember the names of the other two - it is late!

I'm looking at Amphora's site, anyone have any advice or comments?

I'm not an aromatherapist but I used to own a retail company where essential oils and herbs were among our product ranges.

Nowadays for personal use, I use http://www.essentialoilsdirect.co.uk/ I've found their prices mostly across the board to be very competitive, their quality of products and service are also fantastic and I would highly recommend them. Their prices compare well even against my former wholesale suppliers.

I've used Alan Howell for the last 15yrs. www.shechina.co.uk He is a small supplier of high grade oils to therapists. He's also a teacher, Shiatsu Practitioner, Healer and Herbalist.

I have used amphora several times as well as essentially oils who are also very good. Amphora do trade accounts with discount but there is a £50 minimum order. Essentially oils are very good, quick and free delivery. I've also bought various oils from aromantic for use in products but these tend to be more obscure ones.

http://mantra-aromatherapy.co.uk/ - is our mutual local supplier, just outside Barry. With amazingly cheap prices on 10ml bottles, great service and lovely looking bottles.

http://www.essentiallyoils.com/ - is oxfordshire based, charge no P&P and has no minimum order - perfect if you only need one or two bottles. They also have monthly sepecial offers with 20-30% off their already very cheap prices.

http://www.naturallythinking.com/ - has the cheapest carrier oils around. Note that their Grapeseed at £6/litre and Evening Primrose (£12/litre) are both cold-pressed!
They also have a gorgeous German Chamomile for £8.50 / 10ml. Can't really recommend their Indonasian Sandalwood, which I felt was a waste of money.

I use Naturally Thinking too, and http://www.quinessence.com/ have excellent quality oils, although the price is a bit higher to reflect it.

I'm not an aromatherapist though, just an enthusiastic amateur.

great thread. Im looking into this at the minute also so thank you for posting this an dthank u al for great replies.

the only one i have used so far is ancheint wisdom but altho they o great offers and some great stuff their oils are not a good quality. Other stuff is tho so if you are in market for candles jewllery or just soemthign a bit different do ahve a look but not so much their oils I found... is only my opinion tho

Just a quick note about product making:
essentiallyoils has lovely 10ml roll-on bottles in blue. green or clear as well as very reasonably priced jars.
naturallythinking have the cheapest spray atomisers that I could find, to fit 18mm bottles.
