The banks received so much money that they essentially will never pay 1 penny in corporate income tax, when you account for the $30+ Billion they each received and what they will be able to do with that money going forward. They basically were granted enough assets to cover all future taxes owing for the rest of their viable existences. You can't make this shit up, it actually happened.

And the real kicker of it all?

90% of Canadians arent even aware that the government bailed out the banks with billions of dollars. If you ask the average Canadian, they don't even know it happened. Yet, these fucking retards want the right to vote and control my way of life.

If you give the average Canadian a Tim Horton's coffee in their hand and an opportunity to talk about the weather, they are blissfully happy.

The news reports claim the banks, beause they were essentially over-leveraged and headed towards insolvency, simply sold mortgages to the CMHC and that it was profitable for everyone involved. If you believe that, you probably also believe in the tooth fairy and Santa Claus.

The banks were insolvement and they moved money around and had their bad assets bought at above market rates, aka, they received huge bailouts from the Canadian government, in the Billions.

Notice how there was massive inflation right after the financial crisis? But production didnt change in the economy, much at all. Anytime you have massive price increases without a huge change in production, you have an injection of money that is in imbalance to the economy.

How do you know this for sure? The government does secret deals behind voters backs all the time. You're living in a fantasy world if you think the government tells you everything they do.
Sure, the big banks are making big profits. But what about the smaller ones you don't hear about? Mortgage companies?
