The news article didn't explain anything regarding the circumstances of the murder. So, the murder could have happened for any possible reason that nobody has a clue about yet. It could have been a domestic dispute, robbery, rape, drug related, jealous boyfriend. Who knows? I remember a long time ago, I was reading about a women that I knew a bit, but I didn't know her personally. She was found murdered in a Toronto hotel room completely naked. I don't think the police ever found the killer, or what exactly happened. Now that was a story that made my imagination run wild. Maybe she was working as an escort for some extra cash for the Holidays. Again, who knows?

I don't know who the dead one is, but i visited one of my yonge and steeles asian indies, and she mentioned that she might move to china soon because she doesn't feel safe here and mentioned some girl got killed in markham and that she used to work with her at some point in the past. Didn't really get much more info from her broken english

The male suspect has a history with police. Earlier in 2022 he was involved in a kidnapping in Markham and charged with kidnapping, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, careless storage of a firearm, careless storage of ammunition, unauthorized possession of a prohibited device or ammunition.
