Partially agree with you. These dance bars are a sinkhole of which there is no coming back. The problem is the gap that exists in the self-esteem of the average monger is only growing larger. So, they will keep inflating prices as a self-esteem tax. Remember, value here is 'extrinsic' and based on perception.

It's a fake world that swallows you in its entirety. You initially think that you can strike a balance but you can't. The hole within grows larger and larger because anything you find here doesn't last. It's like finding the next 'cocaine' fix in that sense.

The ecosystem works in a way where you are forced to spend a higher and higher self-esteem tax as you get older. The women here are also disillusioned with how men have treated them all their lives. So, their conscience is mostly dead. It's a vicious circle. The demand supply part anyone spews is absolute bullshit. Beauty is very common and these people have a strong scarcity mindset that pollutes anything that it touches. To drive the point home, only in India, do we see men pedestalizing these very average looking women (with a lot of make-up) because of the aforementioned scarcity mindset and the fact that they can't get anything 'good'. They think that they can buy them gifts and shower money to make-up for their lack of self worth. You know, it doesn't help as these men are perceived as the biggest chutiyas by the very women they desire.

Now, you might say that you are just being a nice guy, right? Bullshit. You are trying to manipulate her to get in to her pants. She knows that and it disgusts her or turns her into a gold digger. Either way, you get screwed.

Bars being a complete waste of money is the 100 percent truth. If you are young and you realize this early then that is rare. For the rest, everyone is an addict in some way and they keep trying to rationalize their descent from where there is no coming back.

I was doing my annual exercise of earnings versus spends in buckets to sort out my income and expense streams. Something I have done diligently for last 7 years. This helped monitor spends and keep some strong stop loss at month levels.

2018 and 2019 spends increasing twice that of income.
2020 70% of last year avg as 1st lock down shut everything and a revenge spending started once it opened up
2021 went out of Mumbai and only spent in short trips. Spends down 80%

The amount of money saved was staggering. Unconsciously I realized how my spends had increased as proportion to my income and how constantly there was an internal justification to up it a few % poi to every year. You are bored go to dB. It's weekend go to dB. Made good ones in equity spend some in dB. Now, these are the 3 days u get in the quarter, plan and fuck off.

I realized nothing changed in months I did not come. Known faces treated me better as at any spend level familiarity breeds contempt. This is a very true statement for this world. There is always a dickhead to replace you and pussy to replace her. To dri k a quarter you don't buy the bar and the bar stool. You pay for ur glass enjoy the drink. We neither get attached to the glass nor the stool nor the table nor the bar. There was a mild refresh and churn in every bar evry 2 to 3 months. so was not in constant search for something new or getting bored of old faces. The standard churn kept it fresh. Stuck to to the 6 or 7 places I usually went. Most importantly I gained spending power. I wasn't cursing myself for over paying or over spending on a drunk night, as now cheat night is truly a cheat night and not a regular way of life. Gyan baba switching off !!!

Yes this is an addiction. Some restraint and random luck can keep the Nasha under our control rather than us being in its control

Today's SB Visit :

Sneha : Waiter called Ruma 2. Allowed to sit with me as I already had tried her in previous visits. She was on periods so limited excess but I liked her company so enjoyed with her to the best satisfaction. Paid 500.
Then called Muskan but waiter bring dusky n fat muskan while I was looking for much discussed tall n fair Muskan so waited for her. She came n sir with me but I did not liked her company so said goodbye. Paid 500.
Tamanna n Tara both were repeatedly asking for boney so gave them 100 each. 200 Waiters + Beer.

Kishore : Reached Kishore from Sneha. Rupa came immediately before ordering n was admant to sit so allowed her. She was sat me only one time earlier. She is good company but I did not find her repeatable as per my liking. Paid her 500. Anita immediately came after paying Rupa. She asked for the drinks so allowed her to get one as I had ordered only one beer. I am not much into Alcohol. She started n poured her tigress wild side. I Always enjoyed her company though she is greedy n very smart to extract max from the mongers. It was satisfactory n wild fun from side. Explored her cat deeply. Paid her 1K for the enjoyment she gave me. Pooja Thapa, Mumoni, Jharna and Rani came in between to sit with me but I ignored them. Gave boney to Jharna n left as o had to travel outstation.

Couldn't find time to monger after changing my job recently. After a long time I am back in action. Had a few quick short adventures. I had missed quite a few things ever since the first lockdown begun. One of these things was IT Product Shows and Conferences. These Tech Shows used to be like an ego massage for all CIOs and IT Heads from across the industry. To walk in and see all the vendors trying to invite you to their kiosks, the smart sales-women trying to make a quick elevator-pitch to catch your attention, IT Sales people eyeing your conference badge and trying to size you up to decide whether you are Mr. Moneybags and just a nerd.
I realized while walking into Deepika Bar that in some ways the Bars too are like the Tech Shows, just without any tech in it. While the Technology might be missing, the techniques are almost the same. So when I walked in the waiters swarmed upon me trying to pull me to their respective kiosks (in this case, their tables). Once I had settled down, the smartly-dressed (in this case, of course, smartly 'un'dressed) saleswomen sizing you up. Only difference is that you are not wearing any conference badge. Instead you are sized up by your clothes, looks, accessories etc.
The IT Sales guys have a minute or less to catch your attention with an elevator pitch. The DB girls are no lesser. While I was sitting in a corner, the DB girls begun walking slowly around me. They tip-toed around waiting to make eye contact. One smart PYT sashayed in slowly for the kill. I looked at her from the corner of the eye through the mirrored wall. She was staring intently at me and walking in for the kill. She wasn't upto my taste. But what's wrong in inviting an elevator pitch. I turned my head and made eye contact. Like the sales women say, the "Ultimate Moment of Truth" was upon her. I wondered how she would make her elevator pitch. Some of the old elevator pitches I had heard raced through my mind.
"How would you like the idea of reducing your network maintenance cost by 30%?",
"What if I tell you I can take care of all desktop-based, Web-based, mobile-based applications under a single roof?"
I had encountered many such elevator-pitches and I take pride in the fact that I always have a witty rejoinder in place to push the pesky MBA-educated, convented-english-spouting saleswomen away. So how difficult could be a bangla-accented, uneducated bar girl. As she came closer, I wondered what her elevator pitch would be.
"Would you like to get your piping serviced?",
"Would you like a full-stack trained kathak-cum-classical-cum-bellydance-cum-erotic dancer in a single body?"
She had come close enough. About three-feet away when she made her elevator pitch. Only difference is that she needed no words. She broke eye-contact with a snobbish, self-indulgent look on her face and looked into the mirror on the wall. She swirled around on her toes to reveal her perfectly toned, flawless, unblemished slender back. And what a back it was. The toned muscles, the smooth skin made for an enticing pitch. She adjusted her choli with a self-indulgent but knowing smile on her face. Her palms cupped her own boobs to adjust the angle of her bra. But it was clear that it needed no adjustment. She then turned around and made eye contact again, this time with a friendly smile. And suddenly then, she was up to my taste.
I realized that I had no witty rejoinder to this. This sales girl had not made an elevator pitch. She had directly displayed a sample of the wares she had for sale. There was no arguing.
THIS DEAL HAD TO BE SEALED. AND RIGHT THERE.
