Part 4/4 - The Unexpected Dessert

Taking leaf out of Basuda's book,

Fr value - 2/10 in terms of usefulness (cos it is on an Andheri Ob) and moves back and forth in time...

Was in no senses (or perhaps little senses to give myself the benefit of doubt) when I stepped out of RR with empty pockets and was smoking a cig waiting for my cab when a text popped up from a co-mongerer (my godfather into mongering) - the gist of which was, - "come to parsi panchayat road, you wont believe who is in front of me right now"

Cutting the long story short - he was talking about one of the very few flames who had me head over heels, one who had me fiercely loyal to her and who I can call "my first real muse"...

Those were the days when I wasnt much of a spender compared to today, visited the bars once a month or max twice a month with few close friends... During my bar hopping spree on the western line, had run into her at Aeropunjab and from that day onwards had visited no bar other than AP...

A girl in her early 20s from Delhi, she had everything that a lady requires to get a man crawling at her feet... An innocent smile that could turn mischievous at her will, brown eyes that sparkled every time she spoke animatedly, blonde hair (ofcourse colored) which never fell out of place, a figure to die for and a simple dressing sense which made her look like some lady had mistakenly walked into a bar from a family function, draped in a simple saree with no glitter whatsoever...

Used to spend whatever i could over her and she never complained, was heartening to see her pay special attention to our table even when there were high spenders who could blow fortunes to see her dance... Frequency of visits doubled and quadrupled in no time and I almost spent the days waiting when i could see her next...

The naive guy in me believed it was supposed to last - i would go to the same place every other night, she would glide in in a simple saree, would watch her and sleep peacefully... And it did last - till it didnt...

One fine day - heard those dreaded words for the first time (Gaon gayi hai) and for me she never returned from the "gaon". Ofcourse after a couple of visits i figured out that she had switched places due to a fight with the management and noone had any clue where she was... Tipping the waiters, coatwala and the doorkeepers yielded nothing...

Once again began barhopping in search of her, wishing that some day i would run into her but then i ran into this forum before I ran into her again... andheri and western line was forgotten as NM became my new mongering home...

Until this fine Saturday when almost everything had gone wrong - but had turned better as well...

Ofcourse changed my destination to Andheri PP road and slept on my way there...

Must have been 12 30 odd by the time I reached there...

But the sight of her, the same glowing beauty under those shimmering lights made the travel worth it despite the drunkenness...

It was as if not a single day had lapsed from.the last time I saw her... The welcome was not a smile but a smirk as if she too had expected this to happen some or the other day...

Decided to play the hardball and sat staring at her while her colleagues and my friend enjoyed the show...

Using her brains (for which I admired her), she asked the DJ to play a Pakistani song that she used to play for me in the past and started dancing at the table despite there being no cash on the table... The lyrics of the song mocked me and her at the same time as if explaining what had transpired in the time lost...

"Husn teri kamjori hai, note meri kamjori"

The show went on and on for what seemed like ages after that as she brought back all the nostalgia with the same songs and the same playlist... But this time even the predictability tasted sweet...

On some days - plain vanilla icecream cup of 10 rs gives you more pleasure than a Magnum...

Would I move my mongering back to Andheri or keep flirting with NM?

I dont know but all that I know is - husn meri kamjori hai...

Your FR is so full of an emotion which I miss dearly in the present transactional life . It may sound very idiotic and unsmart to write that word here ( in all probabilities you also may laugh at me and deny ) but to me it's 'Love'. Bro you are lucky to feel that again.
