I put a piece of 3/4 plywood on top of my boxspring, what a difference. Try that out might help.

Many beds sold today don't even have a box spring. Mine has springy wood slats in the steel bed frame, then a single mattress (with a gel top layer) goes over them.

Yeah I noticed. I guess they're cutting back on cost, trying to make it more affordable. I remember that a box spring was really expensive.

A box spring is around $150-$200 depending on size. Cheap in comparison to the cost of a mattress.

Yeah all I remember was, one is much more expensive than the other. It was a while since I bought one. Isn't the box spring much heavier though?

Probably, but all the expensive materials and workmanship is in the mattress. After all, that's what you sleep on.

Just different bed designs. The box spring really is just a glorified large wooden pallet wrapped in the same fabric as the mattress. It's just there to support the mattress because older-style bed frames are usually just 4 pieces of angle iron forming the perimeter of the bed.

Oddly enough, most hotel rooms have a mattress + box spring. While the 30+ condo incalls I've been to, all had a single mattress with slatted bed frames.

So, in your opinion, which set up holds up better for beds that get used a lot for sex? I remember walking through some open houses when I was in market, I happen to notice which houses had the happier couples. Lol. Some beds had sunk in quite a bit in the middle. You would know what was going on in that bed by looking at it.

Box spring is just what it sounds like, wooden bed frame that will flex under load. I like extra firm so I place 3/4 inch plywood sideways then a piece lengthwise to make the bed very firm. Just how I like it.

The single mattress + slatted frame design is probably more durable. Think about the duty cycle of a condo bedroom incall: average 6 clients per day x 365 = 2200 fuck sessions per year.

Yes, with real RMT FS if you are a regular and have phone numbers. In fact I challenge others to describe a story of an MPS claiming to be an RMT giving FS. Good thing is many are independent with their own small places. Great for a late night rendezvous.
