Spot on about the rates. Damages were total 5.2k + drinks downstairs.

You are correct. That was the mistake I made. Got blinded by looks instead of building rapport. I guess we'll chalk this one up to experience. We learn something new everyday. That is perhaps one of the joys of mongering.
