I learned many years ago that life is simply a battle of interests. When the police arrest someone for marijuana posession, and then these same police officers go to a bar and drink alcohol to celebrate the arrest, you are witnessing a battle of interests.

But it also depends on your point of view. If you don't value that, it's not going to pay off for you. I happen to think that there is pleasure and fulfillment outside of the orgasm. If you study history, times were really tough in comparison to today. It used to be pretty impossible to go anywhere and bring your valuables because there were thieves everywhere.
