But wondering why I only got this notification now...I've had my phone and google account for ages...strange.

Go to maps on your phone, click on your initial and your timeliness will show up. It will show you where you have been for the last several years. There is a setting to delete all. This feature will show you where you have been even with location off...if you use wifi...it will also show approximate locations using cell tower info....just check the time-line once a day to ensure it is clear

I had location settings on for a while on my phone, didn't care; till I notice the "places you visited" also show up in any device you log into with the same ID such us Phone, Computer, tablet, laptop, even on my Roku TV I was getting notices.

Now I turn it off EVERYWHERE. This setting is on by default and they can still find out where you been just by following your GPS or your transactions on CC or debit but at least is not showing up in unintended places.

I think in my case, it might have popped up due to a burner email I have. Like you said, turn it off EVERYWHERE!

That's the weird thing, I've never used that burner email in ages and it was never linked to my phone. Google is scary man...

yes you are constantly monitored and I’m sure it will just get more invasive as time goes on. But if you are just cheating and tricking I doubt anything will happen to you.

PS: they do have a "work at hotel" rate for $60 but when you get there, you can tell they're reluctant to provide this rate (even though it's advertised). They'll tell you it's only good for single occupancy but you can always sneak the MPA in a bit later.

Didn’t think anyone used google anymore. Switched to duckduckgo years ago, always run a vpn regardless of device. Never use google maps for anything. Location services OFF unless I’m using my phone for golf gps. This ain’t rocket science.
