During my visits for STD testing routinely it was only HIV that I was worried about, after telling them I have only done it with women he told me that in all his years of STD testing he’s never seen a straight person contact HIV which put me at ease and I opened up about hobbying and he said that Sex workers are NOT a risk group for HIV. When I heard this it’s been on my mind ever since, researching treatment for STDs quite a few of them only require a shot of penicillin or a 14 day course of anti-biotics which I didn’t see as a big deal. The only 2 were Herpes and HIV, since my doctor and my own research showed its super super rare to get HIV and that sex workers weren’t a risk factor I thought what the hell, I’ll give it a go).

I still regret since for one I don’t really know where my docotr got the info that sex workers aren’t a risk factor I tried researching it and couldn’t find any research papers that went in depth about this in Canada.

I hope I will test negative but for now it’s just a waiting game I think I have to wait 6 weeks before getting tested for HIV.

Bottom line is folks (especially young dudes in their early 20s like me) DONT BBFS it won’t be worth it.
