Tipping of MPA

I am not 100% sure but I think that public servants are not allowed to accept "tips". I tried to tip my Mom's nurse (Toronto Western Hospital) a few years ago and she politely declined. Do not, repeat, do not ever try to "tip" a police officer for helping you find your car or dog.

And a good tipper who appreciates extra effort and a great time is always appricated, remembered, and is just that! Regardless the size of additional payment!

I dont think what spa you work at makes any difference. You can find an uninterested flake anywhere. And a gem anywhere too! Exceptional service is on a tier of its own. Surpasses a repeat list. And takes your hobby to a new level. I dont care where you are...or what business it is...that applies everywhere and deserves a tip or 2.

As for your hairstylist, I'll tell you why...anyone who moves to Master Stylist or owner of a salon never accepts tips!! That is customary in the salon/spa/beauty industry!!! My stylist is the owner of his salon, and I sneak an envelope into the tip box with his name on it anyway! He is a master of his craft!! I would feel wrong by not showing my thanks!! Thats just me though. I think karma and paying it forward apply here too!

As for repeat business, we love that! Regulars are our bread & butter so to speak. But its not the referral base in the standard sense that brings more people. And I just said this in another post but in the most frank sense of the job....more money in less clients is way better! Truth be told....thats why we walk in the door. To make money. Its may not be why we stay, or why we smile, or why we huff and puff, or jump for joy.....but its the first reason we go in each day!

And your last sentance is just so over the top I dont know what to say! MILUPA Im so shocked!! I normally am such a fan and agree with ur views for the most part...why such hostility against a hot sweet girl getting well paid while well deserved?? And in turn reaping the rewards of a happy MPA? Im not liking bickering with you, we need to hash this out naked!

I'm not an automatic tipper myself but I do tip most of the time. I go by a rough 15% markup. On the rare occasions I don't tip, it's usually because I don't have the extra cash on hand rather than any lack of service. And usually when I'm caught short (for tips only, I never short a lady for her efforts on my behalf) I try to make it up on the next trip.

I usually never tip after my first session with an MPA. If I really enjoyed the experience, or really connected with her, on my repeat visits with her I usually add a tip on top of the menu fee.

I by no means think that a tip should be customary,regardless of the service provided. I certainly don't think it should be used as an incentive to get more "mileage".

I think thats awefully narrow minded!! Shall we start a list for you of people in our daily lives that we tip...

hairdressers, waitress', bartenders (because they make the drinks and deal with drunks), taxi drivers, door men, vallet drivers, parking attendants, the Tim Horton's girl, the news paper boy, the babysitter, the dog walker, esthetician, the bus boy, the guy at the air port that carries my luggage, personal trainer, the RMT, ETC!

I see no reason why MPA's dancers and SP's dont hit ur list!!!!!!!!

If you come across a gem, why not?!?! LOTS of people get tipped! Ridiculous!!

We all hobby .... and honestly with the exception of a few .. the rest of us are OLD enough (ex. myself, I_L and guess how many more on this board?!!!) who could be, IF not already, like the father of at least one or more daughters .... SAME age as the majority of those girls who provide services to us as MPA! (well...there are MPAs who are like my grand ma's age...but that's not the point!!!). NOW, planning & acting like I_L (see above for his expert advice and strategy) to steal their hearts by visiting them 5, 10, 20, 200 ... n+1 times to finally bring them to that kind of freaky Twilight Zone ..... & blah ... blah... blah ... ---> OMG, indeed!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, I wonder if there is any MPA out there older than 20 who falls for these kind of games!

And your turn ... what would you do in our REAL world and NOT that so-called "perfect world"? PLEASE, choose your next words wisely, my Dear! Remember, we are REAL clients now reading these .... Would you accept chocolates, coffee, Roses, and similiar gifts in exchange for NOT accepting TIPS but also giving us $discounts$? AND, how much $$, if I may ask?

I agree. Typically I see only a couple of regular MPA's at any given time, but I see them several times a month each.

Also, in my years hobbying I've noticed *no* correlation between tipping and the service level offered.

Chemistry, rapport and mutal respect equals service, NOT that extra $20 left the previous appt

Recently I had a session with an MPA who handed money BACK. We finished a 45 minute session at about the 35 minute mark. I'd left out the 45 minute BS donation and she handed me back the difference from 30 minutes. She told me I worked hard for my money, was glad I was happy and WOULD NOT accept any tips from me. I thanked the MPA for her love, respect, and not viewing me as a walking wallet...

... then I booked a repeat appt the following week.

I tip when I feel it's appropriate but generally stick to the stated fees. Tipping shouldn't be a given but something that is warranted. Some girls don't even put in the effort to earn the stated fees let alone a tip.

I've been to AC in the past but not in a long time. The stated fees for a BS was something ridicuosly low (either $40 or $60) the last time I went. Hawiian Samantha there was a gem and I made sure she got $80 or $100. She was on par with the girls of B&S and I felt she should be paid on par as well. Paying the AC stated fees just felt exploitative so I felt it was appropriate to tip more.

Sometimes, the in-room fees don't align with what I have in my pocket. If a BS is priced at $130 and all I have is $20's then I'll bump it up to $140 and not have a second thought about it.

For a favourite, I'll add another $20 to $40 every know and then. That takes little effort or even thoughtfulness. So, I generally prefer to give a gift around the holidays, or if I just came back from a business trip. The gifts are given after the session, and not before, as I'm not using it as leverage for pushing mileage. It's meant to be something more sincere with no strings attached. The gift has to have some meaning though. If you see a regular many times you do actually talk about personal likes and dislikes. Clueing into what she likes then surprising her with a gift out of the blue, based upon her likes, is generally really appreciated. Especially, if that little something is in the $100-200 price range (where I will top out at).

I believe that you still don't have the slightest clue of what tipping is about.

Tipping is not obligatory. What is wrong with gifts,chocolates, Roses Etc. as tip.
No one is short changing anyone, the Mpa's are getting their dues in cash and honestly speaking,if they are expecting more cash from you then I would consider them to be greed driven.
