Schools close and while other establishments open, with more political pandemic bullshit from Boss Hog at Queens Park who is attempting to suck and blow at the same time. Is there any reason to believe that the sketchy COVID-19 daily numbers will be significantly up by April 12 and if so then what? The numbers are already rising significantly in several major American cities with the variant strain increasing in prevalence. Toronto will have even less MPs returning to work than summer.

You are right. I do not think due to new variants Toronto or Peel personal care services (e.g. Spa) will be opened within next couple of weeks. . Actually, I am scared that York Region SPAs may be closed by then as well ( Ontario wide close down, stay home very likely). So I will do my best to visit my favorite SPAs in YR as much as possible. You do the math: yesterday 2400 new cases in Ontario more than half new variants ........??!!

They should drop the bullshit platitudes. We're not "all in this together". While we stay home most of the time, gather in limited numbers and lose our ability (some of us) to make a living, these filthy subhuman, mutant scum take vacations in the Caribbean, dine indoors maskless and go to weddings just to name a few of their transgressions in both the U.S. and Canada. These goofs are still fully paid so they should be the last people talking about unity.

We haven't been "following the science". The mask mandate has always been rooted in optics and convenience. So please, spare me the emotional blackmail of your grandma or your 25 y/o nephew who had a very healthy lifestyle but died due to COVID. It's tragic and I'm sorry for your loss but you need to do better than that!

Open here close there will never work. We do need Wuhan style total lockdown. Politicians are just playing games trying to please the business owners hoping the vaccines will help them out eventually. The way I see it, the new variants is spreading faster than the vaccination.
