There are many buses from many locations who go through this border. The name is Lok Ma Chau （ 落馬洲 ）on HK side and Huang Gang （ 皇岗 ） on the Chinese side.

If your flight lands later and you cannot catch the train because Lo Wu crossing closes at midnight, there is another alternative to get to Shenzhen.
Take N21 bus and get off in Mongkok near Caltex gas station. There are buses going to another crossing point which is open 24 hours. The buses leave at a cross road in front of the Caltex gas station on the south side of Nathan road. These buses are on all night.

Let me explain...China and India fought a war in 1960s and ordinary Indians think that Chinese people still carry some doubts about Indians. Go to HKG airport website and all bus timings are listed there. Safe bet is if you catch 10.30 PM bus you should be ok. Although there are buses later you will not be able to catch the train.

From HKG airport take A 43 bus at the transportation center. Cost is Hong Kong dollars $28. You have to have exact change. If you do not go to the counter and get a ticket.
The bus takes approx 45 minutes to the KCR station just before Lo Wu. From That station Take KCR train to LoWu. Cost $20 Hong Kong.
This is the fastest and cheapest way to get to Lo Wu Station.
Beware LoWU crossing closes at midnight.

1. Hong Kong island to Shekou.
2. Kowloon to Shekou.
3. Hong Kong airport to Shekou.
4. Macau to shekou.
