Hazel will no longer be working at Allure due to the fact that her availability had become severly limited. We require our staff to be available for at least two shifts a week and Hazel was only willing to commit to one.
We have made exceptions in the past only to find that it becomes very one-sided and we usually ended up with the short end of the stick.

Anyway. We wish Hazel all the best in the future.

I'm guessing HFH since there is a Hazel on schedule beginning next week. I haven't met many MPA's going by the name Hazel so I'm thinking she is from Allure. She was always a great experience at Allure.

I have also been with Hazel... I really enjoyed her a lot. If I were the "Allure Management"... I'd rather have a good girl in my staff once a week than fire her. But oh well... I'm only a paying customer... what do I know?!?!?

Just to set the record straight. Hazel quit and was not fired.
The hours of operation at HFH are more suitable for her class schedule and enables her to pull off 2 shifts a week.

We encourage girls to better their lives through education and do our best to be accomidating. We don't feel that asking for a 14 hour a week commitment is unreasonable by any means.

I think this is a case of another girl leaving because of managment issues. They seem to be dropping like flies over at Allure. Who will be the next to go? Debbie needs to come back and straighten out this place. The girls are not happy.

I think HFH's hours are pretty much the same as yours.

When I was in university (full time), 14 hours a week would have been just about impossible.

Depends on the course, depends on the level of study I realize. For some easier courses, 14 hours is a walk in the park.

Also factor in things such as travel time and class schedules. When I was in university, I made sure that my job was on campus and had flexible hours so I can still hit all my classes, have time to study, and still work about 15 to 20 hours a week. It's hard to juggle all of this and still work a job that might be pretty far from where you live and where you go to school. Since we don't know all the factors, or at least I don't, we can't really know the exact reason.

a. HFH close at 10:00pm, we close at midnight.
b. Hazel couldn't meet our scheduling requirements so she decided to go work somewhere else. Forgive me for not being completely clear on that.
c. Debbie is not coming back to Allure at least not in the meantime.
d. Forgive us, but we are running a business and have certain expectations from our employees.
e. I don't understand why some people are taking this post so personal. Hazel is working 2 shifts a week at HFH so she obviously is happy with that. If Hazel is happy then I'm happy.

This is a very transient business. Yet everytime a girl leaves Allure it is automatically assumed that it is due to bad management. It is simply the nature of the business.

We have always listened to our customers. We may not be able to meet every request but we certainly try. I'm sencing some hostility and I'm not sure where it's coming from or why. In any case I'm through explaining myself in this regard.

There's a bunch of whiner's and bitter members on this board who have nothing better to do than complain and analyse (over and over again) for MPA's leaving spa's. It's a lot more common with the biggies like Allure, SRM, and HFH. How come no one does so much complaining when thing's like this happen at the smaller MP's. Just because Hazel left Allure, conclusion's are being drawn that the management is not doing a good job or the girl's there are not happy. IMO, Hazel was a great MPA, and I'm sad she left. But it's not the end of the world !!! If you miss her so much, go see her at HFH then !!! Allure's customer flow would not be affected if all the Hazel fanboys stopped going there .... they have a wonderful selection of MPA's. Before the "Hazel departure" thread popped up, I saw very little written about this girl. Now that she's gone, all the bitter fanboy's are popping up just to bash Allure. I'm a regular at Allure and have seen almost every girl there .... when I ask them how they feel about working there, the most common answer is "it's great" or "this is the best spa I have worked at". For members saying that the girls are not happy or there are management problem's, would you be so kind to list your sources. Dina, Melissa and the Allure management are running a first class spa and kudo's to them for that. They do not need justify the reason's for MPA's leaving their spa. People come and go in every type of business and there's no point "crying over split milk".

What's with the attitude?!? Dina went out of her way to explain the situation...accept it...end of story! I don't think Dina should even have to justify decisions and policies that are made with respect to HER business, especially to one that is evidently as mature as you. If you're still having difficult accepting the situation for what it is, I suggest that you boycott Allure...I'm sure your disrespectful attitude will be sorely missed by all of the staff.

I never once mentioned that the management at Allure weren't running a decent spa. I've been going to Allure for over 5 years now, and it has always been a great spa to go to.

I don't think that managers should have to come onto a discussion board and justify the reasons as to why MPA's have left their spa.....I totally agree with you. That is what this discussion board is about. If people have certain feelings about why they think MPA's left, then this board is a forum to discuss those feelings. It would be the same situation if an NHL player quit his team. People would speculate, or give their opinion as to why it happened. Some may have even spoken to the source to find out their information.

In the last four years, I have always had great feedback from the girls at Allure. They have told me what a spectacular place it has been to work. I know three or four MPA's very, very well, and from the comments that I have received lately from them, it has become abundantly clear to me that there are some serious managment issues at Allure ever since Debbie left and moved to the States, and since Melissa returned to the spa as a manager. Most of the problems and red flags started to go up when Melissa began her announcements about wanting to start massaging again. There have been reports of theft ($$$) in the girls changeroom, as well as serious drug use among some of the MPA's. Ashley quit working there, Kyla is on her way out, Cara is gone and so is Hazel. My comments were my opinion about the situation there pertaining to the information I have received from very reliable sources.

Now, this doesn't mean that all girls have left because of managment. They could have left for other reasons. However, in my opinion, I am getting the feeling personally that many of them ARE leaving because of management issues. The comment from the current Allure management that girls are leaving because "it is the nature of the business" does not satisfy my curiosity.

I don't think anyone is whining or wasting time making comments about this spa. If we are talking about it so much, it is obvious that Allure is a high end spa and we care about its future. It has always had amazing service and management and we want it to stay that way.

Oh, and LDB, I think your presidency of the Allure fan club needs to stop. You are always just a little bit overprotective of any negative comments to Allure. I agree 100% that it is a great spa, but people should be allowed to voice their opinions about Allure, even if they aren't so favourable. Dont' worry....no flaming, just a gentle comment to let you know how bias you always sound towards Allure!
