Wow it took people that long to figure out a Massage parlour at a "truck stop" may NOT be legit.

and point the second-I read somwhere that it was a five month investigation. Should have taken about 60 minutes.

At least that was one month less than the EPS took for their sting of two working girls a couple months back. I guess that makes the RCMP a little more efficient in the apprehending of these dangerous criminals. Geez!!!

Seriously, how does it take more than one visit to find out more than massages are going on in there? How much of our taxpayer money went into that instead of something useful?

Is anyone else picturing some RCMP officers going there every day for 5 months and getting happy endings.......yep i guess this place is a bawdy house after all, better shut er down! Job well done boys!

So with this latest bust, and the one a couple months back of two Edmonton escorts, all because of complaints from a nosey neighbor, and some dumbass who couldn't get his wife a massage, does this mean that anyone can now phone vice and lodge a complaint against any studio in Edmonton for providing sexual services? I'm sure there's a lot of SPs and clients who would love to see certain places get busted and shutdown.

Oh wait. What the hell am I thinking! The city of Edmonton is the biggest Pimp going. It'll never happen as long as there's a steady flow of cash coming in for business licenses. Someone has to pay for Mandell's legacy.

They probably counted it this way:

Day 1 complaint lodged.
Move forward 4 months, 3 weeks and 3 days. Park near parlour. Yup nervous looking guys going in and either leaving after 4 minutes or staying between 30 and 60 and looking pleased when they leave.
Go back next day, with search warrant, wait for guy to walk in for a 'massage', 15 mins later still there ok time to move in.
Serve the warrant make the arrests and publize that the investigation took 5 months.

Then they add up all those months and go to the government hat in hand saying we need more money look how much time we spend investigating crime!!!

With the new Chief of the EPS being a former member of the RCMP who knows what direction the EPS will be going in the future. All I know is jurisdictions policed by the RCMP don't seem to have very many MPs. Witness, St. Albert, Sherwood Park etc.

I didn't see the smilie face at the end of that statement Bad Santa so I'm assuming you weren't making a joke. Therefore with this in mind let me state that this is probably one of the best examples of leaping to a conclusion with totally unrelated facts.

To state that MPs in Edmonton are in 'danger' based on a new C.O.P. is ludicrous. Firstly Edmonton has BIGGER problems than MPs to deal with. The highest murder rate in CANADA, more than Toronto a much bigger city. Calgary has 3 we are at what 26?

One MP get busted almost annually, has been that way for a long time, it is what it is. IMHO it just keeps the industry in check. The smaller burgs of St Albert and Sherwood Park did at one time have MPs or at least one in each burg. With smaller towns though those on the moral right are much closer to those in power and bylaws get changed.
