Nigerians charged with forcing women to prostitute arrested in Spain

Each of the Nigerian women had to pay the gang euro45,000 (US$55,000) for its help smuggling them out of Nigeria and into Spain, plus a share of their earnings as prostitutes, police said in a statement.

Police arrested 18 Nigerians accused of forcing women to work as prostitutes in Spain and threatening to kill them or their relatives if they refused, authorities said Saturday.

Police estimated the gang's earning were as high as euro4 million (US$4.9 million).

Each of the Nigerian women had to pay the gang euro45,000 (US$55,000) for its help smuggling them out of Nigeria and into Spain, plus a share of their earnings as prostitutes, police said in a statement.

Five of the detainees were women.

The victims worked as prostitutes in Madrid, the Canary Islands, the northwest city of Vigo and Palma on the Mediterranean island of Mallorca.

Bulgarian Pimps Jailed in Spain

Thee Bulgarians were found guilty of sexual exploitation in Spain, and jailed, media reported.

The men - one aged 29 and two aged 33 - abused female compatriots and forced them into prostitution, a court in Alicante ruled.

MADRID, July 19 (Reuters) - Police smashed a prostitution ring which tricked Latin American women into coming to Spain with false promises of modelling work, officials said on Tuesday.

Seven people were arrested after a five-month investigation. A police spokesman could not say how many women had been exploited by the organisation.

Members of the ring approached women in Venezuela and Brazil, offering modelling[they can come model at my house anytime] work in Spain. Once in Spain, the women were told they had to work as prostitutes to cancel debts incurred by airfares and bed and board[and theyll get free room and board ] .

The gang threatened the women with violence, sometimes using guns, to prevent them going to the police.

Police moved to smash the ring after some of the women managed to raise the alarm, officials said.

Up to 400,000 prostitutes work in Spain [that sounds like some sweet competition there, so do we get daily specials, like bring us our competitors price and we'll beat it, with an extra 10% off] , according to one estimate by a Spanish trade union. More than 90 percent are immigrants

Ok - I guess I'll give an update myself from experience. There is a varied scene. I didn't make it out to Flower's Park which has been mentioned several times in old threads. It is in Las Rosas north west of the city and quite a drive and quite a taxi haul.

There are SW all over the centre - not least on the upper part of the Gran Via and in the area behind the Telefonica building but most if not all of them are not something you would look at. On top of that the feeling of the area behind the Telefonica is shabby and unsecure with lots of shady types all around.

On 45 Atocha - the street leading from Plaza Meyor to the Atocha train station - you can press the bell for 2b. It is advertised as a private girl but is actually a bordell with at least a dozen or so girls working in all the flats on the second floors and probably others as well. Once in press the bell for 2c where you will be greeted and presented with the girls in a lineup - they quickly come and you are lucky if you remember the names of the ones you like. 75 euro for half an hour, 100 for 45 minutes and 120 for a full hour. They come in all shapes, colours and sizes and I had a nice and cute Venezuela called "Fanny".

Even more to be recommended is the Secretos close to the Plaza Castilla, similar prices and prettier girls.
