is the new influenza virus affecting the zona?

I am more worried about catching it from an American than the zona, ie. flying on an airplane is one example, or receiving a shot that is suppose to help but instead makes me sick or worse kills me. Has anyone been to the zona lately, for I am ready to take a small trip down there. Only question I have are the chicas coughing or sneezing alot? If not no worries. Media paints neg. holograms and the masses...well need I say anything else about the subject. By the way, what are the local newspapers in TJ the Frontiera and whats the other one? Prefer Mexican language English will do. Thks.

Does anybody know if they even confirmed a case of "Swine flu" yet in Tijuana and if anybody died from it? I know at least till the end of April there were no cases in TJ.

I have heard that was a case in nearby Mexicali.

If you remember Masterhikamoto early post, he suggested he might have caught swine flu from a Hong Kong chica he was visiting while in TJ! He even went so far to admit to OC Heath department that he was mongering in TJ, but the OC health department didn't want to assume he got it in TJ.

Those fucking Health department workers would have flipped their lids if they found out a US citizen was visiting a red light district in TJ and may have caught the swine flue there. Believe me if the health department found out a monger was visiting a red light district and caught the swine flu it would have made the news.

As it is when I visited the doctors a few times with STDs scares and admitted to them I was visiting hookers especially TJ they took it quite seriously, and thought I was absolutely crazy!

Of course I can't prove Masterhikamoto is making this whole thing up. But if you look at the odds of him catching the swine flu in either TJ or OC you know he probably has more of a chance getting hit by lightning and then you take into account he is a newbie on a site with only three posts, and given the record of newbies writing these types of reports.......You just know this guy probably never had the swine flu.

But your welcome to believe whatever you want, and BTW I"m selling the Brooklyn bridge at a great price.

Last post for me in response to your doubts I agree enough mincing of words. Again your doubts are a matter of personal opinion, you cannot prove what I am saying is false. Perceneforum.xxxe or not there are several people in OC with suspected cases, and the confirmed count will grow that I can assure so yes the disease does exist and can be spread and it is out there. You are immune only for that variant of the influenza virus. At any given time, there are dozens and dozens of influenza viruses circulating around. And they constantly mutate. (I know I must be over simplifying the bio-mechanics but this is my understanding as a lay person.)

May 4 2009 two cases of swine flu were detected in Orange County since the report was written on May 15 then there might have been about 10 cases confirmed, and maybe up to 40 now( confirmed) It should be easy to get the background information on these other ten people. Masterhikamoto said he had a confirmed case, as there are a lot of unconfirmed cases out there. So as soon as more information comes out about the other cases of confirmed swine flu in Orange County....I'll be able to offer Masterhikamoto an apology if it could be confirmed he is indeed one of these few unlucky Orange County people.

SANTA ANA -- Orange County has reported its first two confirmed cases of swine flu.

The county's chief health officer Dr. Eric Handler said Sunday a 26-year-old man and an 18-year-old high school student, both from Irvine, had contracted the virus as officials had suspected.

The 18-year-old attends University High School in Irvine but the school will remain open because he has stayed home since becoming sick.

Holder announced Monday morning that Fred Moiola Elementary School in Fountain Valley will close for a week after the identifcation of a probable case of swine flu in an 11-year-old boy from Westminster.

The state Public Health Department has not yet confirmed any Orange County cases, but is investigating nine probable cases, including the two Irvine men.

Masterhikamoto...I'm glad you're OK. But I doubt you caught swine flu in TJ. You said you were there when it first started making the news. At that time it hadn't reached TJ. Plus you can count on one hand the number of confirmed swine flu cases in Tijuana.

Had you caught swine flu while visiting the ZN I think we'd have heard of lots of other mongers getting it too. But we haven't so I doubt you caught it in the ZN.[

[B] limited reported confirmed cases yes, remember not everyone experiences the same severity of symtoms so some might have not even reported them. oh and me having the swine flu was confirmed by the CDC so I dont know where the unlikely I even had the swine flu statement came from. And the number of posts cannot disprove what I am saying. Also I would not at all intend to scare mongers from going to TJ, I went back last tuesday and had a blast in HK , and will be going this Tuesday again, now I am immune to the swine strain so its all good. Plus if you look at my first post under the HK ripoff thread I posted sound advice for mongers on how to actually enjoy themselves in the HK bar. Being clean and careful is common sense in TJ and I will continue to enjoy further mongering in La Zona so if anything I dont want anybody to be scared to go but caution is common sense, practicing good hygiene against the swine flu, just like using condoms is common sense with STD's, just like seat belts in cars, helmets when drag racing. First off my thanks to those that have read my post and have expressed good wishes to me I am very thankful, but I must address the above quoted post. How interesting my post was never meant to stir up hysteria or fear at all. It is like anything a post on a forum sharing my experience with this Flu that is a real condition and it is communicable, and can at times be fatal. It is my prerogative as far as how honest I decided to be with the health department. Again in my post I never specified that even with what I told them I caught it from the "sex workers". For all I know it could have been in the line back to the US after all I was in close contact with a large group of people but that is mere speculation, who cares now I got it and I'm over it end of story. If you choose to believe it or how you interpret it is irrelevant to me.

We are going to have another 1918 flu bug which will kill millions of people worldwide. It will probably be worse because the amount of global travel and trade is far more than it was in 1918.

Oh, well. Let's hope it doesn't happen in our lifetime. If the border were closed, what would we do for recreation?

actually its seven days per the Health Department Doctor, but I am glad to be over it and to clarify I was more vulnerable due to the fact that years before I had meningitis which my whole system as a whole has neven been the same. they dont want to assume I got it in TJ, but lets remember confirmed cases mean those that were reported. but I am glad to be better cant wait to go mongering again.

At the Cancun airport a day before the news broke, I contracted a cold that lasted three weeks! After two weeks, I went to the doctor and she questioned me twice about aching bones. Luckily, I couldn't say they were aching. So she dismissed me without running any tests.

I guess the lesson is that, if, after visiting Mexico, you feel your bones ache, run don't walk to the nearest doctor!
