How to scam a BG.

the 1st night i went with my old gf, we didnt discuss money. the next morning i gave her 3000baht. this being my 1st bg i ever went with. i had read up on it and knew the going rate but had so much fun, wanted to give her 3000baht. ive known her for 18 months now. as she tells me, she can be quite frank with customers when it came to money, not going for less than 1500 ST 2000 LT. i asked her why she never asked me how much before we left. she said that i had bought her 16 drinks, most she ever got in one night, so figured whatever i gave her the next morning she was gonna come out alright. thought thatwas pretty funny

Interesting story, but it does not exclude the fact that the Italian who ripped off the BG is a total ar$e wipe.

I have just been reading a thread about currency exchange and it reminded me of a funny story I was told by a go-go girl a few years ago.

I was finishing the price negotiation with a go-go girl when she insisted that she is to be paid in Thai Baht, I have never had this condition before so I enquired as to the reason.

She told me that a few nights before she had finished a short time with an Italian customer when he asked her if she would accept one thousand Lire rather than one thousand Baht because this being his last night he was low on Thai currency. For reasons that even she could not explain she assumed that one thousand Lire was the equivalent of one thousand dollars, and so she eagerly accepted. The following day when she attempted to exchange the note it was worth 16 Baht, and tried every bank she could find in the hope that the banks had made a mistake.

It must have been a sad day for this guy when Italy changed over to the Euro because he can no longer get a short time and change from a twenty Baht note.

Yep have had it happen to a couple of my girls in the past. My did they ever get a shock. I think one was given HKD100 for LT, and the other I think accepted IDR10,000, she got an even bigger surprise than the other one.

On my last night in October I gave the girl i was with (LT) 1500B and she attempted to give back 500B as she said that was too much!!!
I told her to use the 500B to get herself something - I didn't want it back;meaningless to me.

Yes that's a real Low Life effort....on the plus side though l heard a story from a girl who was paid 10,000 baht for going to dinner with an English guy, and then playing cards to 2 hours.....total time spent....4/5 hours.....no sex.....back to the bar to party with her friends on her "result":cheergal:

Agree with all of the positive comments above on treating the ladies and all Thai people in general well boys...............every visitor to Thai is already getting a bargain just by being there............even if you pay a little more/didn't quite squeeze the last BHT out of that bargain ....you will by and large have paid a s#it load less for it than you would have at home......unless you are completely clueless??

It always irritates me to see a$$holes arguing over cents with Thai people who are just trying to scrape by..............it's just mean!!!! It is not a competition...........

Money is made round to go round...........

Trying to rip Thais off is a dangerous passtime..........and that smile may easily be wiped off anyones face who thinks it is funny.........

There is a big difference between ripping people off and bargaining.
My daughter was offered a souvenir at the beach. The guy wanted 2k baht, she offered 300 baht, they settled on 500 baht. More fool her if she paid 2k baht.
Many people talk about respecting the people and way of life and bargaining is a way of life in Thailand. Also the Thais are not adverse to ripping farangs or their own people off so let's not get too carried away. As the CIA says... 5% of people are bad all the time... 5% are good all the time..and the other 90%

Guys I can understand your concerns for the BG in question but if I was to finish the story you might not be so damning. However, a word of warning is advised if you choose to hear this story. It will be a giant rollicking rolla coaster of a tale filled with betrayal and sizzling gypsies.
