The only stupid people here are those that think that their grade 10 science education, a Wal-Mart microscope and a Toys R Us chemistry set are comparable to those of the scientists who've dedicated their lives to studying vaccines. Luckily for us, they know what's in it, there have been peer reviewed clinical studies and it's WHO/FDA approved. But since you most likely get your news from social media posts, your apprehension is to be expected.

Got Pfizer a month ago. Anything the FDA fully approves is licensed. The covid vaccines haven't been licensed yet, but they are approved for emergency use. Just because something is for emergency use doesn't mean it didn't have to be approved first. It's a really simple to understand, so I'm not sure why you're having so much difficulty. Sure, children have growing immune systems. But you can't say an 8 year old has the same degree of immunity as a 20 year old. Peak immunity would probably occur in people between 20 to maybe 25. For example, in the case of the Influenza epidemic c. 1918 which killed far more people, the majority of the dead were from the age groups we would presume to possess the most robust immune systems, e.g. people in their twenties.

Cool. We both agree that he vaccine isn't fully approved (licensed) by the FDA but, it has been authorized for emergency use. I wonder what another word for authorized is?
