More of a general question. I've played the field a good number of years on and off ... nearly a decade (I'm 35 now). Played in Asia and Tijuana. I'm wondering how has mongering affected your personal life with dating, girlfriends, or even marriage. Have your standards gone up? Are you less interested in normal looking girls? Is there less inclination to get married or stay married? Have you thought about the question, "Why get married at all?" Does marriage only serve ~ 3 purposes? 1. sex, 2. child-bearing and raising, 3. long-term old age companionship. Has hedonism become the primary focus of this life? Is this the pursuit of happiness?

I would like to hear answers from all mongers. My personal experience, as well as from friend(s) with similar experiences, is that our expectations do rise, and getting married becomes deprioritized.
