Okay, this review really serves no useful purpose - other than to provide a general outline w.r.t hobbying in China and to gloat about the vast number of beautiful pussies I had recently sampled on my trip. All prices are quoted in RMB (local currency). For your reference, 1 dollar canadian = exactly 6 rmb. All prices are quoted in terms of price per fuck. In some channels, multiple fucks (overnight stays) are available at 50% surcharge. In addition, if you find the following located in hotels, costs will typically rise exponentially with the rating of the hotel. Finally, all prices are quoted AFTER negotiation and only relevant for Mandarin speaking-outwardly Chinese Canadians. Expect to pay 50% more if your mandarin isn't up to par. Expect to pay 50% more than that if you are obviously non-chinese.


KTV:
Average cost/fuck: roughly 500-2k rmb + fixed cost for room of 1-3k rmb / night;
Likelihood of score: **/5.
Quality of girls: ****/5
KTVs can be found on every street, and in every city. This is by far the most expensive channel for hobbying. What you are basically there for is drinking, singing, and paying for a hostess's time. The hostess is usually NOT viewed as a hooker, although most will provide services given the proper incentives. Typically, NOT recommended for non-locals unless you are accompanied by someone who knows the mami-san well. The girls will generally be prettier than what you can find elsewhere, and you get to choose from a wide variety of honeys. If you think you have game (and time), you can ask for phone numbers for more "intimate" (and hopefully free) encounters after the girls leave work. Although again, must stress that likelihood of success is fairly low.

Bar:
Average cost/fuck: 300-700 rmb + a few hundred for beers + mamisan.
Likelihood of score: ***/5
Quality of girls: ***/5
Bars exist in certain areas of every city. Most of the hotter bar have girls on staff that provide the same type of service as ktv hostesses (minus the singing). Typically, the likelihood of score is higher, the prices are lower, but the quality of girls are lower as well. Typically, bars in certain areas exist to satisfy white clientele (and are viewed by locals as money-sucking drain holes). Possibility of free-bies exist if you play the game well and the girl likes you (not really for caucasians though)

Saunas:
Average cost / fuck: 450-700
Likelihood of score: *****/5 if you find the right ones; 0/5 if not
Quality of girls: ****/5
In every city, certain saunas exist purely as full-time brothels providing hourly sessions. Generally, saunas (especially in large cities) do not biase against non-chineses. However, a large proportion of saunas are "clean" and it is imperative that you find the right ones for hobbying (which is not as easy as it looks as even local chinese may not know).

Hair Salons:
Average cost / fuck: 100-250
Likelihood of score: *****/5 if you find the right ones; 0/5 if not.
Quality of girls: **- ***/5
Generally speaking, several hair salons strategically situated together speaks volumes - especially if they are all open after 11pm and ESPECIALLY if they are packed with girls lounging around. Salons that do not fit this profile generally do not provide "additional services". These typically do not biase against westerners as i've seen plenty of caucasians leaving hair salons with satisfied smiles. However, quality of girls is typically unstable, quality of surroundings questionable, and security risk escalated.

Streetwalkers: 50-150 (if on a random street); 300-800 (if in front of hotel)
Likelihood of score: *****/5
Quality of girls: **/5
Not advisable for non-chinese. Heck... not advisable even if you are chinese. Why take unnecessary risks when so many other channels exist.

Man.... tired after writing so much... let me save the wide array of services to write about another day. The key is, find local guides (friends if you have them, taxi drivers if you don't); learn some basic chinese, do your research before you travel, and hobby SAFE.
