Do you like the recently introduced gay characters in Game of Thrones?

The Knight of Flowers isn't gay. I read the books, though...if it's the tv series you're going off of, then idk.

Oh, and btw. Do you know when "A Dance with Dragons" comes out? I haven't a clue and I've been waiting for a while.

I've read the books and yes, Loras Tyrell (The Knight of Flowers) and Renly Baratheon were lovers. The books (especially 2-4) give obvious enough innuendos, but since neither were POV characters, you had to read between the lines. The author confirmed that the characters were gay in an interview years ago.

The "Flowers" bit comes from House Tyrell, which has a golden rose for a sigil and rule from a place called Highgarden. It's got nothing to do with being gay.

lol you're so dumb, the series is based off the books by George Martin called "A Song of Fire and Ice" the first book is "A Game of Thrones"

the name is not meant to be ironic, he comes from a land called Highgarden, where they are famous for you guessed it, flowers

As for the whole gay scene, I was actually kind of dissapointed for two reasons, one, he is ugly as shit in the HBO special, and in the book, he is supposed to be the most beautiful knight in all the seven kingdoms, and second, this gay scene doesn't occur in the book, it's not a huge change, but it does change the story, and why? What possible attraction is there for him to be gay?


edit "bitter queen" lol, I did find that funny, but you should know the reason I call you dumb is because you assume that hollywood made this show out of thin air. If you think that Hollywood is original enough to make up a series like this, then yes you are dumb :O

I thought the scene was cute. In the book their relationship is a lot more subtle and there isn't a love scene in it. But I think this works better for tv, so yeah I think it's cool. Also regarding his title "knight of flowers", the author said that he wanted to include many different types of gay people not just ones that adhere to stereotypes. He wanted good and bad gays, manly and not so manly ones... And yeah, considering how much of a badass he is I think he wears the title well!
