Covid Comorbidity Risk at the Spa

Ontario, Quebec and BC do not currently release covid comorbidity statistics but Alberta does. I was pretty amazed to read today that of the 575 people who have died in Alberta so far as of this writing, 98% of them had comorbidities such as high blood pressure, dementia and diabetes.

A column in the Sun a few weeks ago pointed out that only 10 deaths in Alberta had no known comorbidities, and those ten potentially would have included individuals who died in their nineties or hundreds. Over 75% of all total deaths in Alberta at that time had three or more conditions in addition to covid.

Please don't jump all over me for pointing this out. As I've said in previous posts the numbers are the numbers, and unless you are going to lock yourself in a room for two years and have someone push your food under the door, it is helpful for everyone to understand the risk factors to themselves and others in deciding whether they are going to a spa for a session with one other person, or riding a bus, sending kids to school, going to work, going to the mall, going to see family, etc. etc.

Unlike Dr. Whitesnake I'll spare everyone from posting about this every day everywhere, but if we have to subjected to Whitesnake's fear porn 24/7 throughout this forum then this is also helpful information to know...

Dr Snake knew it all along Covid has nothing to do with spas, he was just trying to help me bump my threads. If spas are dangerous, I have been dead long time ago since the first wave cuz I am a senior, working at the spas 7 days a week and hobbying 2-3 times a week. I even put DFK back in my game now. Gyms, bars, weddings, parties and crowded places are the ones you have to be more worried about.

I would expect it!! we age and we get less and less immune and more susceptible to these conditions.
I think the vaccine is being dry run tested today or this week and by mid jan, Canada should have doses coming out!!
that's the only way we beat this thing! but in my mind, this covid is just a bad flu virus.. I've talked with many engineers who have in their minds, caught the virus several times since this started.. and they recovered at home just like you would with the flu.. it's survival of the fittest!! and hopefully your good genetics are just that!

Lock down and wearing masks are good only if everybody follows the rules. Otherwise it is pretty much useless. Like one guy said, if there are leaks in a boat, you have to plug all the holes, otherwise it will still sink.

just cuz you don’t care doesn’t mean it doesn’t spread. I’m not advocating to shut down (there would be nothing fun to do) but dudes continuing to visit sex workers at a high clip (im assuming) and numbers rising likely has something to do with it.

no one would ever admit to catching covid from a sex worker. Even if they caught it and visited a spa, you think anyone will ever say I got it from a sex worker? Hell no, we will blame the grocery store the gas station, etc. cuz everyone know subconsciously that tricking is pathetic. Lol. If we didn’t feel that way why can’t we be honest about doing it? I have been dealing with Asian mpas all the time and they all are very careful and following safety protocols very carefully. I haven't come across anyone who got infected or who disappeared all of a sudden with covid. If spas cause infections, I will be the first one who got it cuz I am always touching hugging and eating with them almost every day. I am in touch with about 10-15 girls a day every day and dealing with some customers as well. If one girl from spas like QQ,VIP, JR, EM, Suko or Serene got infected, they all will be infected cuz they have 5-6 girls hanging out in the same room every day whenever they are not busy. And all those spas have over 20 - 40 customers every day.

Yeah..you might have some at non Asian spas where they don't give a shit about Covid, go to parties and bars. Even then i have never heard of any spreading from them.

well I wouldn’t expect a different response form a spa lobbyist but none of this stuff will hinder me from going. If I don’t go to one your spas it’s cuz your on the other end of the city and I’m near airport area so I got a lot of options without having to burn an hour of travel time.

It has nothing to do with I am working at the spa and spa lobbyist. I am just stating the facts. Covid is not the kind of thing you can hide like STi. If one got it, the rest of the girls in the same spa will . Especially at those spas I have mentioned.

I don't think I'm saying anything controversial if I suggest that those most vociferously on the side of lockdowns and masks have claimed to be the ones representing "the science". They're not. I don't care how many Trump-loving-I'll die before donning a mask- weirdos there are out there, I have not seen a rational interpretation of the science that would support the lockdown strategy we've pursued. Even the efficacy of masks is not settled. For me, wearing a mask is such a small deal that it's not the hill I'd want to to die on...but the lockdown...that is a hill more of us should be fighting on. If you look at where people are dying and what their condition is, a society-wide lockdown simply is not justified.

I know it's off on a tangent a bit, but the recent court ruling in Alberta that found people could not go to a church service where they were all in their separate closed cars and connected only by audio, is a perfect example of the mindset that's taken hold. As I understand it, the court basically acknowledged these people were distancing responsibly, but still found on the side of the authorities seeking to prohibit the "gatherings". Their reasoning? The worship service was still a "public gathering" and allowing them to worship in their cars might make other religious groups who could not do so feel bad. That's a Canadian court restricting people's freedoms because others might resent it if they're allowed to drive to their church and share a service from the parking lot. Absolutely nuts.

I do agree with you to an extant. DFK is a rare find and they are not doing with everyone. Covid is a respiratory disease. Fluid exchanges BBBJ, FS, Daty has nothing to do with Covid.

Do you think you will be safe at home or at work? Do you have any kids who go to schools? Do you have friends or relatives who come and visit you? Do you work with other employees at work? Do you go shopping ?
You can get it from any where. All we can do is wear masks and wash our hands as often as we can after touching something, like door knobs, hand rails, credit cards or buttons and such. I carry a hand sanitizer and wipes in my car all the time.

To be honest, that's the safest place to go at this covid time. The place is spotless. They check your temp, make you change your shoes and sanitize your hands before you can get inside. Their slippers are sanitize after each use. They change all face towels and spray disinfectant to the face hole after every customer. I go there twice a week and going there again tonight to see my sweet little girl who promised me a good time last week...hehe..

Last week one of the girl still sprayed my hands with alcohol right after I showered and laid down on the bed. So I asked her jokingly, does that means I can finger her? She slapped me..lol
