Today's numbers of people who tested positive for covid demonstrate that the vaccine is not working at preventing infections. "Fully vaccinated" is a moving definition and that's fine. When the world decided on two shots that was before the omicron variant even existed. Having greater knowledge, more experience and changing your attitude with the new situation is a good thing.

Omicron is highly contagious. Much, much more so than covid and the delta variant.

Having a third vaccine dose boosts your immune response to omicron as this variant is different enough from prior covid.
For example, imagine learning accounting in high school. You understand and remember enough to get by as an accountant at a small business.
