Retirement - feeling off with the hobby

I've done some reflecting and have decided to retire from the hobby. The primary reason being how serious my current relationship is getting. I don't really have any issues with married folk partaking in the hobby (I'm sure the majority here are) but I'm certainly having trouble reconciling the feelings myself as of late. Lately I've also not been enjoying the actual experience itself and find myself more fixated on the chase, and often feeling quite empty (both figuratively and literally, haha) at the end. Perhaps its a bout of untreated depression or work stress but this hobby isnt giving me the joy I think it would or has in the past. It also becomes hella expensive.

Lots of good memories were had and while I obviously havent met any of you in real life, I would consider a lot of you horndogs as internet friends. Maybe I will return when I'm an old man with too much time and money on my hands but I will say good bye for now. I wont be posting reviews but maybe ill occasionally wander over here just out of old habit.

Anyways, maybe we can make this a discussion thread on those that are currently in relationships and partaking, how you reconcile those feelings - and yes bigbill, we get that you have an awesome open relationship where your partner lets you partake haha. The reality is not all of us are in a situation like that.

My most memorable:

I agree with you Wills. I've stepped back alot since covid.... and it actually started prior. The anticipation of having a session, the nervousness of going to a ATM. Going into an establishment and feeling the excitement. It has just changed. I see one lady now and not as often as I should. Great sessions with her and I don't share on the forum like I use to, in fear of offending someone. Great Intel I have....but the hell with ya all. LOL.
The old guys are stepping aside and it takes 2-3 new ones to replace us. And I say good luck to that

You got to read the lines. Several of the best providers have delivered their excellent services to clients they considered friends. Some of it was on YMMV basis. They never advertised specific details because not everything is available to everyone. Sharing information via DMs with other discreet folks is ok. But just because someone has decided to take a break and posts all the junk tells me that it’s just another creepy guy lacking discretion. Chances are that he needs to make a big show about his retirement but won’t be able to resist reading every post and then pooning anyway. When I take a break I don’t advertise it with a big post revealing all the secrets, I just do it quietly. I think we owe it to the ladies who are great providers but have always maintained classy discretion. Each to their own, but I know why the best secrets are rarely shared with a wider audience. Lack of class!!

I see Albertaman and a few others here as elder brothers in our camaraderie, valued for their experience and wisdom. I respect their advice without judgment, but what concerns me is the lack of information sharing. This forum is private, meant for us all to exchange and gain knowledge; none of us are committed to any specific providers forever. Once the closed-door sessions ends, they seem only interested in our money. I believe in sharing information, but lately, I've lost interest due to the negative energy surrounding it.
