Indian Head Massage.....suitable chair

Hi everyone

I am half way through an Indian Head Massage course and would like to buy a suitable chair that I can carry around with me. Most chairs in people's houses don't seem suitable to carry out a treatment on.

Has anyone out there bought a chair for IHM, if so, where from. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Hi sara, I was asking the same question not so long ago, I finally settled on a folding chair from ikea only 7.99, height is good and also supports back, everyone on it so far has said it was good

Hi Sara ... I find that the a folding "directors chair" is great for Indian head massage ... comfortable and light to carry. I did make a slight but very important addition to mine .. I padded and covered the wooden arms for client comfort ... I made slip on covers out of towelling face cloths with some velcro attatched which means that I can have several pairs and wash them often.

I found my ideal chair when i was looking for a la fuma reflex chair.
La fuma do a directors chair which is folding and has the added benefit of a side table attached to the chair itself, Excellent for towels and oils.

Thank you for the tip on the Directors chair - I have never been 100% happy with the chairs I have beenusing - but that sounds ideal!

I have the lafumas director chair and its fine and ever so light to carry around however I dont have a side table attached to mine?

I haven't got the side table on mine either. Does anyone know where I could buy it as an add-on piece? Sounds like a great idea to me.

Hi sorry i made a mistake about the chair i bought my lafuma reflex chair at a local garden center and spotted the directors chair next to it, i presumed (wrongly sorry) that it was a lafuma.......its actually called Hi Gear and it has side table which can fold up and down. hope this helps.

Hiya

I went to IKEA at the weekend and managed to buy a bar stool with a back rest that is going only half way down the back. The height is perfect as well - got my husband to sit on it and let me test it as well (he's nearly 6ft tall) and it only cost me abt £12.

I bought a LaFuma fold up chair, which is lovely and light, however I do find it a little too low, and I am not particularly tall. Do they do any adjustable height ones?

Yes....it seems to be a bit cheaper there two.....only have one colour which is a deep deep navy blue which suits me just fine..

I have a great chair, little pricey, it has extendable and adjustable everything, head rest, hand rest, sternam rest, knee rest, its from Darley but the clients go to sleep on it it is so comfortable.
