It’s a fair question. In 2004, a Russian spa called Arther Spa was busted for holding Russian girls against their will. Not all the girls but some.

If you walk into a spa and get a bad vibe then walk out. Lot’s of locked doors, nervous mpa’s, mpa’s sleeping in the spa, leering managers, thug looking males hanging around are all bad signs.

But, I don’t think there is as much to worry about anymore. There were fewer spa options back in 2004 which made it easier for an Arther Spa to pop up. There are now just so many licensed spas with ladies doing this freely that there is not much room for another Arther to set up shop. The escort scene is more likely to have this than spas these days.

Now in a reality check; Yes, there might be trafficked Girls. Ladies that are "forced" in to this life; but in 2020 is very rare and where is happening in NOT obvious,

Most of the women into this scene are in it because they want to. Fast easy money is the main factor.

They are subject to spot checks by by-law, so the risk is far to high.

Majors spas are less likely due to the heat it would bring.

Avoid stripclubs. Huge trafficking from them especially the "Trinity" clubs in Mississauga and Brampton (Midway Invader, Million Dollar, and I think Cafe Atlantis although not sure on the last).
