You still can show a D.L. or some sort of ID. to walkthru. the check
counter The slowdown in TJ. must due to Cold Weather (in my case)
and /or downturn of California economy which is Not what I can see
in any near future . Another reason is people need to pay IRS.

I do miss the Miami baila chicas for sure. May be that is only thing

I myself am away from CA for a while and have been once in 2007 unlike almost every other weekend before ! I think it is because most people mistakenly believe that there is a new passport requirement at the border for everyone. As a result, many tourists are not heading to TJ and business is said to be off by as much as 20% in all border and resort Mexican cities.

My guess is any business associated with nightlife adults
is wayoff during Winter cold season ... That is true for my case,
I have not been in TJ. since December, 2006. and still do not have
any desire to visit TJ. very soon ... However, I shall definitely come

Very true. I was just there last weekend and had a great time. I had a nice BG (name is Skye- tall voluptuous, huge boobs in a see-through red dress) in Adelitas who is brand new in town (3 days). Nice boobs and a tight little snatch. I will be back for more of that before you guys ruin her. There were a fair number of guys around (it was Saturday) but still slow by comparison to a year ago. now is the best time to get a good price in tj.... the economy is off and girls are willing to do a date even in chicago and adaleta's for 40-50 dollars. I had a chica ofer me a date for 49.95 with everything included last week. She wasn't my cup of tea, so I passed. A lot of the regular girls at adaleta's have moved on, with business off so much. I would suggest anybody with a pocket full of money to head on down and have a great time. Some of the finer looking women are only able to get 1 date on an entire shift. and i'n talking 8.5 or better. I don't travel down to tj to bang pigs. i say bring lots of wrapers and go down and have a great time.

The rooms with televisions are the rooms in the newer (4 story) Leyva tower - NW corner of the property adjacent to Constitution.

These "relatively newer" rooms rent for 310 pesos (plus 20 pesos key deposit) for a single and 365 pesos for a double (same size rooms, just with two double beds instead of one). That room cost for the (newer) tower's rooms includes overnight parking for one vehicle ending at 1PM on the day of check-out. The older rooms on the larger south portion of the Leyva's property are less expensive, but I believe they do not include parking in the base room rate.

Lately the Leyva has been roughly using a 10.80 exchange rate, thus making the newer singles rent for $29 and the doubles rent for $34 a night. If you pay up-front for five nights when you check-in, you get two additional nights for free (The same "7 nights for the price of 5 prepaid" deal is also available at the nicer Hacienda de Santiago).

Let's face it TJ is a dump. But, is is our dump, it is in our back yard. There are a decent supply of cuties available. Plus, we really don't have any comparable services available within driving distance. the So Cal sex scene is pretty much on life support, except the more high end action.

The way I see it, a decent ST bang for $73 at AB/CC ain't so bad, considering I didn't have to pay for airfare and hotel and can sleep in my own bed the same night if I choose. If you have a bit more cash, you might want to try the TJ escorts- some of them are actually pretty incredible and the prices (about $200 for an hour including hotel) are about 1/3 what you would pay for the same quality right across the border.

But, IMHO Cuba, DR, Brazil, Costa Rica, and Panama are far superior to TJ. TJ loses the pepsi challenge in all categories except location. Haven't been to thailand but several buddies of mine have and they say TJ doesn't even compare in terms of quality service and prices- although thai women aren't so great in the looks department- unless you like em short, dark, and Asian.

Funny you should mention TJ cops, Jeremy. Just the other day I was searched in ZN and they threatened to arrest me for a picture of other cops (just a street scene in Centro, their faces weren't even visible) in my camera. Maybe I'll get around to writing a report about it.

I only go to TJ out of desperation. One thing it has over other destinations is its location. When I don't have time and/or money, nothing beats TJ.

Hell, even practicing Spanish is better in San Diego than Zona Norte, less chance of running into some sort of lower life form scumbags.

trafic77 - I agree. Comparing TJ to Bangkok is a complete joke, there is no comparison. I also have never had problems with LB's in Bangkok, but I certainly have had problems with the cops in TJ.

ST in Thailand is not a 15min session on a cum stained "bed" with a chica who hasn't showered for the last 5-10 customers! Thai street food is not limited to greasy tacos and hot dogs wrapped in undercooked bacon. And if you've never heard of putas stealing... man.... Actually, $30something rooms in new are quite decent and quiet in Leyva. I recommend those.

It's common for people new to Tijuana to get overcharged by chicas, waiters, taxi drivers, etc. However, this does not make the TJ a dangerous place. Plus once you know the "going rate" you can put a stop to it.

As I say, Tijuana is safer than many other mongering destinations. Outright muggings, while not non-existent, are far from commonplace. Most mongers seldom have problems. When problems arise they are usually of the scam variety. Waiters and taxi drivers have their "tricks." Dancers, especially trannies, in the lower end strip clubs are known to pick pockets. Cops, of course, on occasion, extort money from visitors. However, the actual number of such incidents in relationship the number of people visiting TJ is low--and they do not pose a threat to life or limb as do the problems mongers face in some destinations.

tj is a safe place no one ever gets shot there. Adelitas is still a good bar
you just have to know how to avoid the duds. The girls will come up to
you, usually with a greedy waiter not far behind. I just sit there and listen
to the sales pitch. 9 times out of ten if the girl doesnt measure up I will
politely say no thanks, or tell her I am out of money. This one time a really
cute blonde gal came up to me and was begging me to go upstairs and
fuck her for 40 dollars. I was wondering why she was so cheap....after
I was finished fucking her as we passed the hotel desk she got into an
arguement with the clerk and it turns out she stole some guys drivers
license who refused to pay her for fucking him. I love tj it is so corrupt
and the women are cheap and easy......

TJ is much safer than many inner cities in the US. Thousands of people go there daily without incident.

Like most places I've visited/mongered it is to "keep your eyes open." If you don't in time somebody, somewhere will scam you (or worse). But, as I said, Tijuana is a comparative safe place to monger.
