16th Ave review and door fees

Dropped by 16th Ave recently and had another session with Eva. I have reviewed her before, except either I cannot hear or whatever but back then I called her Ava. Whatever. Like it matters.

Anyway, I was pretty happy with her last time so thought to give it a go again.

She asks for all of my pay for about 13 and a half hours at my minimum wage job up front. (You do the math.) This is for a full body massage. I agree on the hopes that things will work out.

She gives a decent but not great massage. Not dressed sexy, just street clothes. The thing that makes her service memorable is that she actually encourages wandering hands during the lead up time. Very cool, but far less so in street clothes.

She gets up on the table and gives a very nice teasing rub down, but all still in the scratchy jeans and t-shirt.

She asks if I am in the mood for tipping. I say sure, I will work another five and a half hours just to pay her for about 2 minutes work. She removes the t-shirt and we get to jackhammer time and I am done.

So, in all, I now give Eva a thumbs down. She seems jaded and has lost her desire to thrill and please. She still is probably better than average, but for my weeks pay for her half hour service, I want something special.

As for the high door fee, it seems this is the new trend, charge up front for basic full service, then get extras from there. I am fine with this as long as the overall performance is there.

Let you in on alittle thing about how it works at 16th Ave.

First bylaw does not allow us to wear cloths that are to sexy. If we wear a skrit it must be one that is just above the knees, the shrit has to reveal nothing in other words no peeking at the girls. If we wear jeans we can wear a shrit that is alittle revealing with alittle peek at the girls.

Another reson she is more then likely dressing in street cloths is because the cloths she may have are not up to bylaw code. Maybe it is way to sexy.

As for the door fee you were givin that because it includes the door fee and the min end of the X.

Door fee is
$35.00 1/2
$50.00 3/4
$70.00 hr
You can add the min X onto that and that is more then likely what she told you it was.

As for asking for what ever eles she asked for I guess it ment that the min was not what she thought you wanted.

As for the rest I have nothing to say. I just thought it would be nice to let everyone know how it really works.

i went to 16th as a first timer and got in the door, i got quoted for 95 bucks. Left, called and asked what the rates were and she said 35 for half and i asked why i was quoted for 95 and she said that 35 was only for a back massage, a fully body goes for 95, so im assuming you have to pay extra op top of the full body.

in my experience i didnot go for it because i assumed it was only a massage without a ggauranteed hj, i dont wanna pay that much not being assured, if it was included i would be all for it.. but whos to say that the lady could just pick and choose accordingly to who she wants to service.

Yep, Teri, we're for real. We're tired of getting or at least feeling like we're getting ripped off by being promised one thing and something else delivered. The only way you know for sure what you're getting into is to ask questions and then to share the info.

So everyone knows the deal. Would this fly in Calgary? Years ago, we would negotiate a rate before even getting on the table, which included the door fee. Now, everything seems to be extra, and tacked on after agreeing to something, which leaves a really bad taste in the client's mouth. I mean, we just agreed on a price, what do you mean it didn't include a massage ?

LOL... my 2 cents worth... some massageplanet members will chew you up and spit you out if you contradict them or are not 100% perfect in their eyes. They'll also cross the street if it means saving $5. But at the end of the day there are some really nice guys here on massageplanet that will go to bat for you once they know you. You gotta roll with the punches and stand up for yourself and not let it get to you. The opinions (and they are just opinions) here represent only a small fraction of your clients.

I think that you're a being a bit harsh. I know it is a two way street, but there are a number of businesses and independants, who do upsell you once you have already paid assuming that you are getting certain services. It would be nice if everyone was just upfront and say for $XX you will receive ...... Simple as that. When it is that you are spend your hard earned money, you want to know that you are getting what you bargained for. Too many times it happens, that is why a few pooners are a bit more sensitive to the subject when it is brought up.

No one is suggesting that everyone is a con artist, but I can guarantee you that every client has experienced it just as every MP/SP has been ripped off by a client as well. Just be honest and direct in what they are paying for, plain and simple. It's not rocket science. If they don't like the deal, they move on. This way there will not be bad reviews as someone feels they got ripped off as you didn't communicate what they are paying for.

Your first comment was extremely helpful. But, like all people who've been to a studio a few times, the experiences we pooners get are not consistent and the pricing system, (I blame the City of Calgary regs and LE) can be confusing and difficult to understand. So we all get pretty frustrated. So, I'm not sorry you made a comment on the subject although I think your second comment/observation was a result of the frustration that people on both sides of the table have with getting clear info and having to do the "dance" around pricing for services.

We don't get the studio girl perspective here very often and it is a good one to have.

We would all like to feel comfortable right off the bat and not have to beat around the bush. What is the best way to do that? What would the girls prefer we do to handle ourselves better?

The $95 gives you a guaranteed happy ending. I am nearly 100% sure that $95 gives you a hj but with her clothes all on. For my $40 tip, it was topless.

This is standard Calgary rates. I try not to skimp on 5 or 10 bucks in the hopes that it pays off with a good experience. Usually I am just hoping, but sometimes it does pay off. I did see Teri a while back, and she was good VFM at these rates.

Usually pay total at end of session Done, simple. Also no street clothes here? Just sexy outfits and lingiere.
