As someone against lockdowns, even I have to ask those who share my views what exactly they propose as a solution to these restrictions? If it isn't the vax, what is it? Truthfully the ICU numbers are not astronomical the problem is the low capacity in ICUs, and due to staffing shortages the healthcare system has a problem in scaling up capacity.

They can put up tents in parking lots but it takes years to train our doctors and nurses. That is ultimately the real capacity issue as just how many hours can they work before they burn out and become overwhelmed? It’s the Doctor and Nurse to ICU patient ratio to be aware of. Exceed that capacity and they’ll have to resort to triage and select who is treated and who isn’t. Death rates would rise and that is what is scaring everyone.

Blaming one person or group of people is counter productive. No one was prepared on this pandemic. To date most countries are still struggling. And, yes, unfortunately Canada is one of them!

Toronto is close to 3 million and about 15 million for entire province of Ontario. Of these numbers, how many do you think followed COVID-19 protocols since day 1? Exactly! A number of people are even up in their arms with closed fist declaring their rights and freedom! If you die in a war depending your motherland, then that would be the ultimate patriotism. What did Canada and neighboring US of A citizens did? They panicked and bought toilet paper as much as they can. It took several months before inventories and sales went back to normal. Sad! Canada is blessed with massive amount of water! Use it! Install bidet in your bathroom. It's hygienic, cleaner and fresher!
